Hello,

I hope you can help with the following:

I installed several plugins for subpage listing - such as
Hierarchical Pages and Flexi Pages Widget.
I would like pages to be shown in the sidebar without
the subpages, but show the subpages only when the current
page which has subpages is clicked.

None of the plugins have worked. So I was wondering if
I have to alter a code somewhere in sidebar.php?

Many thanks.

Many thanks.

I apologize beforehand if this question has been dealt with before.
Actually it has been asked before, but it didn't work for me:
I am trying out the IAMWW w2 dnd template and followed the instructions
to change the two sidebars into one. Alas, it didn't work - the sidebar has
completely disappeared. I also made sure I changed the sidebarright and sidebarleft
to sidebar1 and sidebar2 in the stylesheet.

I would be most grateful for your help.

Many thanks.

Hi there!
I'm trying to create a page containing a media gallery (no plugins) and it doesn't work. No images show up. But when I switch the theme to anything else the images are all there. Any clues to how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

I'll just take this opportunity to also mention how much I love the minimalizm of this theme. Thanks for creating & maintaining it!

Hey,

Really hoping this is an easy fix. I'm working on http://www.thedocumentaryblog.com

The site works fine in Firefox and Safari. I've run it through tests in various versions of I.E. and it seems to be dying. One version puts the entire site justified to the left and wont load properly, others put the footer to the right.

I ran it through the validator and got over 100 errors, a lot of which are just othe css things I can fix easily but it doesn't seem to recognise the DOCTYPE declaration that's in header.php (I don't think I moved it, isn't this where it's placed in the theme?)

I have this at the top of header.php

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

<head profile="http://gmpg.org/xfn/11">

Any advice/suggestions would be really appreciated, I'm beyond stuck.

Hi,

First, thanks for the theme. I love it.

Well I cant seem to fine a particular part of CSS that I need. I'm working on this http://www.fromwithinfilms.com

I'm trying to get rid of that huge amount of padding that appears of the top of the left column, it appears at the bottom of each post too. I tried to figure out which class it referred to and thought it had to be "entries" but nothing I change there makes the difference.

Any ideas?

Firstly thanks for the excellent theme, it's so close to being exactly what I've been searching for :).

Just wondering how to go about reducing the word spacing in the titles? That is the space between words as opposed to the letter spacing.

Thank you for your wonderful theme, and especially your support on these forums.

My question: I've seen a blog that uses your theme (or at least the theme as a foundation) and has 1 sidebar spanning over 2 sidebars, side by side. Is there an easy way to do this? I enjoy the wider column at the top, and narrower columns below.

Thanks again!

Hello,

I recently installed the DND2 theme on wordpress 2.9 and found that the "HOME" menu link directs me to what appears to be the subdomain instead of the primary domain. I have tested with other themes and they do not appear to exhibit the same issue.

Steps to Reproduce:

1) navigate to: http://theexpertremodeler.com/blog/
2) click "blog home" link
3) observer that the new URL is http://expertremodeler.opaquepixel.com/blog/
which should be http://theexpertremodeler.com/blog/

i have my 'about me' bio written right into my sidebar.php (here: http://nightmairphotography.com/ ) It stretches abit too wide - across both sidebar 1 and 2 I think. I think i can make it narrower in the coding by adding a < br > tag to each section of text i want to shorten and force to the next line of paragraph spacing but i know that if i do this, it will all justify to the left of that specific area (text on grey box)... i wonder if i can do something to scoot it all over so that it only takes up the same space as sidebar 2 (below it)... without making it all justify on the right side (which would look odd).

i hope this makes sense? i basically want to narrow the entire block of text down and shuffle it over to the right while maintaining it left justified as most text should be.

i know i asked this previously, but its been too long to remember, and i cant find it in the search of the forum.

this is what it says about pages and hierarchies

"You can arrange your pages in hierarchies, for example you could have an “About” page that has “Life Story” and “My Dog” pages under it. There are no limits to how deeply nested you can make pages"

In theory I should be able to do a page called say.. Exhibits. And I should be able to create another page in that page, called Past Exhibits as well as one called Present Exhibits. I have no idea how to do this - i think i should be able to do it through the existing code/css for this particular wordpress template?

again, any ideas or thots would be great. thanks.

Hi, we changed the size allowed for uploaded pictures and when we did, the background (which was grey)disappeared. the blog entry area was white on the grey background. It also did something to my header title - It changed from nightmair/photography being stacked in two layers on top of each other on the right side of teh header, to being nightmair photography in one long line, across the bottom of my header image. Neither of us know why this happened or how to fix it.

Good morning-

To merely say "Thank you" for this template feels inadequate. After struggling with Thesis for two days (and finally deleting it), this template has literally been a lifesaver!

My website is close to being complete (Whoo-hoo!). After 'messing' with the code and taking this as far as I can, I humbly submit the following wish list:

How do I make the word "Optimity" bigger (like, really big)on each page?

How do I align items on each page to the left?

In the navigation bar, the children of "Solutions" drop down and cover the text on the page. What can be done?

Again in the navigation bar, (go ahead, call me picky) can the words (buttons?) be equally spaced apart? The gap especially between "Home" and "Solutions" bugs me...

Finally in the navigation bar, can the children be formatted to become highlighted red when someone rolls over them?

The line spacing is too great. I'm pretty sure I edited something I shouldn't have.... How can I fix this?

How can I tell which font is h1,h2,h3,h4,h5, etc..... I'd like to alter the font and attributes.

Thank you so very much!

Oh! I almost forgot (Duh!). My site is http://www.reachoptimity.com

This is probably really simple I just can't figure it out: I'd like each of the links in my nav bar to become a different color upon rollover. And I'd like each one to be a different color as well (think full spectrum as you roll over nav links from left to right).

example:

home {yellow rollover} | about {green rollover} |faq's {blue rollover}

Thanks so much for your time!

All the best,

Jen

I seem to be having formatting anomalies in Moo-Point across different PCs. On my laptop I'm seeing a light blue background on the first portion of my pages and a light blue background on selected formating throughout (i.e. certain bold formats and some italics, etc.) regardless of browser (IE, Safari, Firefox) or clearing the cache. Though for whatever reason I'm not seeing this on my desktop PC.

The change might have come with installation of the WP Followme plugin. Though deactivating or deleting Followme doesn't seem to fix.

Can you see these changes?

Can you tell what changed in the CSS?

Any help to resolve is appreciated.

Thanks,

hi Will.

so, i've used your WP theme for my blog for the last couple of years. the layout of the posts matches the homepage and normally looks like this:
http://www.trademork.com/prince-of-persia-prodigy/

however, i just made a few new posts after not posting for about a year. and for some reason, the new posts look like this:
http://www.trademork.com/call-of-duty/

...where the footer bar comes after the post and pushes all the sidebar content to the right. looks terrible!

any insight as to why this is happening with new posts? and more importantly, any advice on how to fix this problem?

thanks!

Hey Will,
Is it possible to make the navigation bar buttons unclickable? I'd like the drop down items to be the only buttons that are clickable.
Thanks!

iamww on "Changing excerpts to the full content."

The most recent version of IAMWW w2 DnD displays the full content or "Continue Reading…" at the point where any
<!-- more -->
tags have been used in your posts. However, the archives and category pages still use the excerpt.

You can make changes to the theme's WordPress loop to display the full content rather than the excerpt. This will facilitate the display of images in pages with multiple posts (e.g., the archives, while viewing a category, etc).

Change:
<?php the_content_rss('Continue Reading...', FALSE, '', 50); ?>

To:
<?php the_content('Continue Reading...'); ?>

The loop will then display the full post.

Note: All archive files (e.g., archive.php, category.php, etc) could contain this code...
